What’s New?

We have air purifiers from Medify Air with medical grade HEPA filters to remove air contaminants. Check out areas will have Plexiglas coverings. Team members will be wearing N95 masks, level 3 masks, and face shields during specific treatments.

Reduced Patient Traffic

We will be requesting that patients limit who is accompanying them to their appointments. Parents and guardians may accompany children or special need adults. All others will be asked to wait in their car!

Check In/ Check Out Protocols

Patients are required to wear masks prior to entry. Patients will be asked to contact the office upon arrival to office to check in. Instructions before your appointment will be sent out via email/text.  Patients will be guided to rinse with a chlorhexidine solution prior to being seated. Check out areas will have protective Plexiglas coverings and majority of patient check out will occur in patient treatment rooms.

Sanitation

Sanitation and disinfection will include increased attention to entrances, waiting area, check in/out, and restroom areas.  As always, we will continue to follow strict infection control procedures and standard precautions such as: hand hygiene, proper use of protective barriers, instrument sterilization and monitoring, disinfection of all contact surfaces, patient-care items and equipment.

Changes to Dental Cleanings

With direction from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, periodontal management procedures like cleanings will be completed with hand scaling and if needed, ultrasonic scaling. Our hygienists will not be polishing after a teeth cleaning during this phase.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office. Thank you and stay safe!
